Gas Water Heaters
Heating water with gas is one of the most efficient methods of supplying baths, faucets, or even radiant heating systems with hot, steaming comfort. Tank type water heaters allow you to have 40, 50, or even 75 gallons of hot water at the ready when you need or want it. While the efficiency factor of these tank-type water heaters has increased over time this has unfortunately shortened the life span of these units. The average water heater in our area has a usable life span of 9 to 11 years. The plus side is the newer units will save money over their life span and keep your energy cost low.
Electric Water Heaters
Electric water heaters work very well and are very dependable, with minimal parts to wear-out or break. Quite often natural gas is not available and electricity is one of the only options. Today’s electric water heaters will supply enough hot water for the average family and although the operating cost may be a little higher, they are extremely reliable.
Tankless Water Heaters
Many customers choose the newest generation of tankless water heaters. Whether gas or electric these heaters supply an endless amount of hot water. These units cost more than the conventional tank-type units, but are often chosen for the comfort of a lengthened supply of hot water. Tankless water heaters can also be considered a “green” product, and are good for the planet (depending on how they are used). They can save energy and pollute less, plus they use less metal and less plastic at the manufacturing stage. If properly maintained, they may out last several tank type water heaters. And..you are only paying for what you use.
Water is the best known natural solvent known to man. Water is created equal, but depending on where it has been, it will dissolve and pick up contaminants, or who knows what that has been added by man, or naturally. Many of these contaminants are not good for you to drink, cook with, or bathe in.
We can create a customized filter solution for you, even if you are on city, or a well water system.
There are a multitude of water quality issues that can be corrected with water treatment systems. Problems like: too much iron in your water to a pH problem, water treatments systems will give you the clean, clear and pure water that you want.
The most pertinent question in regards to fixing a toilet is: Should the toilet be repaired, or replaced?
Newer toilets only use approximately 1 gallon of water per flush, as compared to the older models that use 3.5 gallons of water per flush, making the toilet one of the largest users of water in your home.
Being environmentally conscious, the Plumbing Master recommends the newer toilets that use less water per flush.
The Plumbing Master can repair most toilets that aren't totally ready for the junkyard. However if a toilet is older, it may need different, and continual repairs, making it more cost-effective to replace your toilet.
